Joseph L. Corshia

Joseph L. Corshia, son of Joseph Corshia (Italy) and Rose Corshia (Majahad) of Plymouth, died on Sept. 18. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Patricia Corshia (Fothergill); his sons, Joseph L Corshia Jr of Bellingham, Thomas W Corshia of Wareham; his daughters-in-law Alison and Erin; and his two granddaughters, Olivia Rose and Trista Lynne.

A lifelong resident of Plymouth, he was the last surviving member of a large family with many nephews, nieces, and cousins. A proud career union carpenter, he cherished his family and friends and was always the first to offer his help. He was a lifelong car enthusiast and big racing fan who enjoyed going to New Hampshire every summer to see NASCAR and drag racing. A Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 313 Court St., Plymouth, on Friday, Sept. 27, at 10 a.m., followed by burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Kingston. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the South Shore Community Action Council’s Food Resources program to directly help local families in need.
