Donna Lee Farland

Donna Lee Farland, 80, of Plymouth, passed away on Monday, Sept. 30, at Sunrise Assisted Living in Plymouth. She was the devoted wife of Gerard Farland, loving mother of Jacqueline Williamson and her husband Gary of Plymouth, Darlene Reed and her husband Jim of Plymouth, and Carolyne Towner of Plymouth. She also was stepmother to Jay Farland and his wife Jocelyn of Attleborough, and Jerilyn Desgranges and her husband, Dan of Griswold, CT. Donna cherished her 11 grandchildren: Elyse, Emily, Brittany, Chayce, Joshua, Zachary, Lindsey, Kailyn, Emma, Elizabeth, and Ethan. She had six great-grandchildren: Elayna, Cecilia, Desmond, Olivia, Lily, and Paisley. She was also the sister of the late Janice Cramer.

Born in Boston on Jan. 24, 1944, daughter of the late Percy and Irene (Lloyd) Goodwin, Donna grew up in West Roxbury. She had three children and later met Gerry. They married in 1983, and just celebrated their 42nd anniversary.

Donna was a saleswoman in the food industry. She loved to bake, and loved all animals, especially dogs. Donna spent most summers on White Horse Beach in Plymouth or Narragansett Bay in Rhode Island. Donna will be especially remembered for creating amazing holiday memories and traditions for the whole family.

A visitation will be held at the Cartmell-Davis Funeral Home, 150 Court St., Plymouth, on Sunday Oct. 13, from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by a service in the funeral home at 11. In lieu of flowers, donations in Donna’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
