Habitats of Great Neck (Wareham)
June 11 @ 9:30 am - 11:00 am
Join us for Great Walks at Great Neck! The sanctuary’s mix of pine forest and salt marshes are priority habitats for threatened species. Restoration efforts at Great Neck have included planting native grasses, wildflowers, and over 120 native shrubs and trees to better support our native animal species. We will walk and learn about these habitats and about continuing restoration efforts. These guided walks are geared towards adults, are up to 2 miles in length and are slow to moderate paced. Be prepared for possible damp and uneven terrain and be mindful that ticks are present. Thank you for leaving pets at home. Severe weather cancels. Bring binoculars if you have them.
