Anne “Rooney” M. Rix, age 61, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024, in Plymouth. She was born August 29th, 1962, in Newton, MA, to Fazal Ahmad and Dorothy Ann Walsh. She graduated from Whitman-Hanson High School in 1980. She also attended Fitchburg State University until she moved back closer to family and Graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1984 from the Brockton Hospital School of Nursing, where she would continue her passion for nursing.

Anne was always defined by her over-flowing love and commitment to her family. She would always express that her first best friend was her Grandma Silva, or, as she would call her, “Little Bird”. Her passion for family grew stronger when she married Paul Rix on Saturday, October 18th, 1986. Her devotion was to being the best wife and Mother to her three sons, Derek, Brendan, and Shayne Rix. Nothing brought her more joy than taking family trips to visit her parents in their home of Bethel, Vermont. She continuously looked forward to having her daily phone calls with her Mother. She was always at peace when discussing the word of God and a proud follower of Jesus Christ.

She is survived by her Father, Fazal Ahmad; Husband of 37 years, Paul Rix; Her son, Derek Rix and wife, Ashley; two grandchildren, Freya Rix and Kaleb Rix; Her son, Brendan Rix and wife, Abigail; Her son Shayne Rix and wife, Nadine; Her aunt Elaine Silva; Her sister Barbara Walsh; Her sister Susan Walsh; Her Brother Richard Walsh; Her Brother Michael Walsh and his wife, Sharon; Her brother Ataul Ahmad and his wife, Jessica and numerous nieces and nephews she loved dearly.

Funeral arrangements were under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. A memorial service was held on Jan. 7.
