Bokashi Fermented Compost Class at IndieFerm (Plymouth)

March 22 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Bokashi is a process that converts food waste and other organic matter into compost (soil amendments that add nutrients to soil and improves its texture and health). Bokashi is an anaerobic ferment that differs from traditional aerobic composting methods. Organic matter is placed in covered buckets which, when combined with the inoculant, minimizes odors. Bokashi tea can be used to feed your houseplants or added to your garden beds. The Bokashi composting method can also break down bones, meat, and cheese which are food products not usually included in typical backyard aerobic compost piles.
Enjoy a beer or kombucha and listed to Peter Swanson explain the Bokashi method and show you how to build an inexpensive composter. There is no cost for this event.
