Handbuilding Sculpture and Making Plaster Molds (Plymouth)

January 9 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm

In this class, sculptors of all levels will develop handbuilding skills with modeling clay, learn introductory plaster casting techniques, and create several duplicates of their sculpture(s) to explore different finishes and casting techniques.
Why is mold making a useful skill? It allows you to recreate your sculpture again and again! Whether you’re selling your work, creating your own decor, or want to transfer your moldmaking knowledge to other mediums (from chocolate to sand castles to cement planters!) mold making is an incredibly useful, and fun, skill for any 3D artist.
This course is suitable for sculptors of all levels, and will teach introductory mold-making and plasterworking techniques. These skills open up a whole new world of sculptural exploration, allowing for reproduction of art pieces as tiles, decorations, food molds, and more.
This class is held on Thursdays January 9 through February 13. Sign up here or on the Event Website.
There are also other pottery classes for children and adults. Check Here for Information.
