Japanese Tea Ceremony (Duxbury)

The Art Complex Museum is pleased to announce its series of Japanese Tea Ceremonies for 2024:

The ceremony begins at 2:00 p.m. and typically runs until 3:30 p.m. It is performed by tea masters from Urasenke Boston, and a narrator explains the ceremony as it unfolds in the tea hut. Audience members are encouraged to ask questions, and receive a cup of tea at the end of the ceremony, which typically lasts for an hour and a half.
The Art Complex Museum houses the art collection of Carl A. and Edith Weyerhaeuser, and includes American paintings and prints, Shaker furniture, European and Asian art, and works on paper. The museum is located at 189 Alden Street in Duxbury, MA. Admission to all exhibitions is free and the galleries are wheelchair accessible. The Art Complex Museum also offers additional programming and education throughout the year.
