Major Judah Alden, A Revolutionary Life (Duxbury)
September 17 @ 6:30 pm
Join historian Stephen O’Neill as he explores the life of Duxbury’s Revolutionary War hero Major Judah Alden (1750-1845). A great-great-grandson of John and Priscilla Alden, Judah was born and raised in the Alden family home in Duxbury. He helped lead the town’s company of Minutemen, then served as an officer in the Continental Army throughout the Revolutionary War. Judah’s story connects the earliest settling of the New England colonies through the struggles of the American Revolution and the early years of the Republic.
Held in person at The Duxbury Free Library or online.
