Janet M. (Higgins) Watson of Plymouth, 82, passed away at the McCarthy Care Center in Sandwich on May 14. She was the beloved wife of Richard S. Watson for 60 years; the loving mother of Dawn Watson, and her husband Dennis of Manomet, Drew Watson and his wife Leah of Colorado, and the late Bethany Casoni; the cherished grandmother of Cheri and Erin Govoni, Declan, Dylan, Devlin, and Danica Coffey, Lilly, and Finn Watson. She was the sister of David Higgins, Allan Higgins, Carol Simpson, and the late Kathy Grouchmal.
Janet was born in Portland, Maine on September 1, 1941, to the late Herbert and Gladys (Sawyer) Higgins. She graduated from Portland High School in 1960 and married Richard in1964. They raised their family in Michigan, New Jersey, and then settled in Massachusetts. Janet received her associate degree from Quincy College. She owned her own craft business and enjoyed displaying her art and photography at craft fairs.
A memorial visitation will be held on June 4 at the Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home, 619 State Road, Plymouth, from 2 to 4 p.m., followed by a service at 4 p.m.
