Kenneth Fernandes

Kenneth Fernandes, of Plymouth, died peacefully on June 11  at Plymouth Rehab. He was born in Marion, on December 27, 1940, son of the late Ceasar and Annie (Nunes) Fernandes. He was educated in Marion and later moved to Plymouth where he lived with his large extended family. Kenny worked as a laborer most of his life. He was free spirited and loved working in his yard, in his garden, cutting grass, and tending to his flowers. He had a love for horses and riding motorcycles. To friends and acquaintances, he was known as Uncle Kenny and his favorite saying was “I’m 29 and holding.”

Kenny is survived by his sisters, Ann Huey, Kathy Yori, Hilda Lopes and Akeeyah D’Affonso. He was predeceased by his other siblings, Lillian Fernandes, Evelyn Daniel, Rosalie Harvey, Caesar Fernandes, David Fernandes, Roger Fernandes, Everett Fernandes, Anthony Fernandes and Bennett Fernandes. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours in the Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home, 373 Court St. North Plymouth, will be on Friday June 28,  from 4 to 6 p.m., with a memorial Service at 6 p.m. Cremation will be at Vine Hills Crematory in Plymouth.
