I’m an actor and performance artist. I just relocated to Plymouth about a year ago. I perform Shakespeare, spoken word, scenes from movies, and rap with no swears. I perform on the streets of Plymouth on Water Street. I loved your article. The motorcycles are ridiculously offensive. I use a mic with a speaker and many times, I can’t hear myself at all.  I’ve also been talked to by police of people complaining about my performances, and its noise level. I actually measured the motorcycles as compared to my speaker and the motorcycles’ sound levels were 20 times mine. And they’re not performing Shakespeare and on the waterfront [for] people.  People seem to love my stuff out there, but the motorcycles really ruin the atmosphere of the waterfront in Plymouth.
