Parker Francis Pond Jr., 89, died peacefully in his bed in his home at the Newfield House in Plymouth on May 10, 2024. He was born on October 12, 1934, in Boston to Marion Jones Pond of Albany, NY, and Parker F. Pond of Boston. He graduated from Newton High School in 1952, from Harvard University in 1956, and received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1967. While at Harvard, he studied architecture and joined the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC). He enjoyed crewing on the Charles River, as well as bicycling.

He served in the U.S. Navy between 1956 and 1959. He was stationed out of San Diego, California, and had the opportunity to see Japan and the Pacific.

His professional career took him to South Carolina, New York City and Stamford, CT, working in comptroller offices of large corporations until his retirement in 1992. His hobbies included sailing and gardening, and he enjoyed decades of summer months at his family home on Bloody Pond in Plymouth.

He will be interred in the Pond family plot at Forest Hills Cemetery.
