Paul J. Mueller, 82, of Plymouth, formerly of Melrose, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 9. He was the loving partner of Nancy Tobin. He was also the devoted father of Pamela Loughlin and her late husband John of Newton, Kurt Mueller and his wife Jody of Hampton NH, and David Mueller and his wife Catherine of Duxbury; grandfather of Madeline, Zoe, Violet, and Maeve; and brother of John Mueller, Michael Mueller, Terry Ciociola, and Timothy Mueller. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Paul was predeceased by his wives, Jeanne Mueller, and Joanne Mueller.
Born in Lancaster, PA, on Aug. 28, 1942, he was the son of the late Paul H. and Bernadene (Pricket) Mueller. Paul grew up in Boxford and Melrose. He attended Masconomet Regional High School and Carthage College. He played football at both the high school and college level.
Paul began his successful career in chemical sales at Carpenter-Morton, He was vice president of sales with DH Litter Co. and later WR Grace.
Following his retirement in 2004, he moved to the Pinehills where he was the second resident of his beloved community, Great Island. Paul loved Plymouth, as he summered in Manomet as a child. He was the former president of the Plymouth Woodchucks, and a 19-year member of the Plymouth Yacht Club. He loved boating, fishing, golfing, skiing, football and hockey. Paul will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
