Peter Pederzani, age 67 years, of Plymouth, died Wednesday, December 20, 2023, after being stricken suddenly. He was the son of the late Louis P. and Mary (Mahoney) Pederzani. Born in Plymouth on August 4, 1956, he was a graduate of Plymouth – Carver Regional High School, class of 1974, and SMU (Southeastern Massachusetts University) now known as UMASS – Dartmouth, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in finance. He worked as a mortgage specialist helping people purchase or re-finance their mortgages at St. Anne’s Credit Union, Envision Bank, INLS, New Fed Mortgage Co., FKA Consolidated Mortgage, among others. He also worked as a funeral assistant at Cartmell-Davis Funeral Home.

He was generous with his time in the community. Peter has been active for many years with Project Arts, and a board member for the past five years. He was also an ordained minister with the Universal Life Church, and a devoted member of American Legion in Plymouth for the last ten years. A very important part of his life was officiating weddings for the people he loved. He would put so much time and thoughts into making each ceremony special and tailored to the couple.

Peter had an amazing memory for every event in his life and in the many lives he touched. He aways remembered birthdays and anniversaries.

Peter took great pride in caring for his home and yard as they always looked meticulous. He loved his community and often volunteered his time to local organizations including Project Arts, the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce, and many business luncheons. His work ethnic was impeccable.

One of his favorite places in the world was St. Marten, where he spent many a vacation with cherished friends.  In the summer months in Plymouth you could find him “shaken’ and baken’ “ in the sun, poolside or on his deck.

Peter was a kind, generous, and supportive friend.  He was a humble man and made himself available to all who needed him without any expectations. We will all deeply miss Peter’s quick wit, nicknames he gave us, his infectious laugh and smile, his cheerful disposition, his big heart and big hugs, and the ability to find humor in any situation.

He is survived by his sisters Karen O’Reilly and her husband Tom, and Jane Tardy and her husband Mike, his niece Meghan O’Reilly, husband Aaron Creighton and great nephew Calvin Creighton, his nephews Zachary O’Reilly and Jared Tardy, cousins, Lynda and Paul Morini Gary, Donna, Jimmy, Anne Marie Peters. Cherished cousin of the late Michael Mahoney and his wife Dona, beloved godfather of Christopher, Ryan, and Sara Mahoney. Friends were not just friends, they were his beloved extended family.
