Roselle Marie O’Keefe, 84, of Plymouth, died Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth. She was the wife of Richard R. O’Keefe Sr., and the daughter of the late Louis Cyrice and Rosa (Lebel) Dupuis. Born in Ste. Cyprien, Quebec, Canada, on June 22, 1939, she was a graduate of Plymouth High School and worked as a cafeteria worker at West School in Plymouth. Roselle was devoted to her faith and was an active member of St. Mary’s Parish in North Plymouth. She was a eucharistic minister, a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, the shawl ministry, the bazaar’s church luncheon, the St. Mary’s senior citizens group, and the Women’s Guild. She loved to knit and enjoyed trips to the Foxwoods casino.
Besides her loving husband Dick, she is survived by her two sons, Richard O’Keefe Jr. of Plymouth and Michael O’Keefe and his wife Karen of Carver; and her two grandchildren, Kyle O’Keefe and his wife Jenn, and Ryan O’Keefe.
Roselle was one of 16 children – Rock, Rejean, Roger, Patrick, Norman, Colette, Lucy, Nicole, Joanne, Corrine, Lise and Norma, all of Canada. She was the sister of the late Michael, Robert, and Richard.
Visitation with the O’Keefe family will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Cartmell Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home, 373 Court St., Plymouth. Her funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 22, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 313 Court St., Plymouth. Interment will follow at Vine Hills Cemetery, Plymouth.
